Before you open sales on your Queen of Hearts raffle, run this quick pre-launch checklist — the core list every raffle should run, plus the Queen-specific checks.
The core go-live checklist #
- Payment processor connected. Confirm your processor is fully set up and connected so you can actually accept money. Nothing else matters until this is done.
- Start and end dates are set. Double-check your event’s start and end dates. The end date is also what unlocks your drawing.
- Ticket prices match your rules. Make sure your ticket packages and pricing line up exactly with what your printed and posted rules say.
- Do a real live test order. Have someone who will actually be entered in the raffle buy a ticket for real. This is the big one: it confirms the payment processor works end to end, the confirmation email looks right, and the checkout flows the way you want it to.
Queen of Hearts specific checks #
- Confirm the card board displays correctly and that selected cards drop out of the pool as they’re chosen.
- On your test order, select a card and confirm the chosen card carries through checkout onto the issued ticket.
- Confirm your draw schedule and jackpot structure are settled and clearly spelled out in your printed and posted Rules & Legal copy — walk through it once more, ideally with counsel, so what’s posted matches how you’ll actually run it.
Pro tip. One rehearsal, start to finish: buy a ticket, select a card, check out, confirm the ticket shows the card. If that loop is clean and the copy is right, you’re ready.
