Basket Allocation Rules

Allocation is the heart of a basket raffle, so it’s worth getting right. A few rules keep it clean:

  • Tickets Required is the minimum increment. A basket with a minimum of 2 consumes two tickets each time a supporter adds to it.
  • Every purchased ticket must be allocated before checkout. Supporters can’t check out with unallocated tickets left over.
  • If the tickets remaining are below a basket’s minimum, the site explains the conflict and offers a lower-minimum basket or a package change so the supporter can allocate everything.
  • Remove returns exactly the increment. Removing from a min-2 basket returns two tickets. Repeated adds and removes never produce negative or duplicate assignments.
  • Multi-winner baskets use the Number of Winners field. As with any raffle, drawing stays locked until the event’s end date.

Why this matters. Clean allocation is what keeps your numbers honest. Every ticket lands somewhere, nothing double-counts, and a refresh never scrambles a cart — so what supporters chose is exactly what your reports show.

Rehearse a purchase with a few tickets and try to break the minimums — you won’t, but it’s a good confidence check. — The Chance2Win Team
