Items to Verify Before Publishing

Before you open sales on your basket raffle, run this quick pre-launch checklist. It’s the same core list every raffle should run, plus a couple of basket-specific checks.

The core go-live checklist #

  1. Payment processor connected. Confirm your processor is fully set up and connected so you can actually accept money. Nothing else matters until this is done.
  2. Start and end dates are set. Double-check your event’s start and end dates. The end date is also what unlocks your drawing.
  3. Ticket prices match your rules. Make sure your ticket packages and pricing line up exactly with what your printed and posted rules say.
  4. Do a real live test order. Have someone who will actually be entered in the raffle buy a ticket for real. This is the big one: it confirms the payment processor works end to end, the confirmation email looks right, and the checkout flows the way you want it to.

Basket-specific checks #

  1. Confirm every basket that should be public is Published (no stray drafts showing), and that your categories and baskets are in the order you want.
  2. On your test order, allocate the tickets to a basket and confirm the allocation shows up correctly in Basket Orders and Prize Reports for Baskets.
  3. Check that basket and category names render cleanly on the public page.
Pro tip. One clean rehearsal beats ten fixes at launch. Buy a few tickets, allocate them across baskets, check out, and confirm the order shows up right in both Basket Orders and Reporting. If that loop is clean, you’re ready.
